HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone, hope you have a good 2025...
Wow, it's been a long while since I started this game back in 1999, I'm almost twice the age I was when I started working on it now... LOL
Anyway, I'm still alive and doing well, busy as always, working remotely mostly from Thailand now and days. I'm working for two different companies back in the US remotely, started an LLC with a couple of friends for a side project, then as always Palestar as well.
So the side project is why Darkspace went down for a while, I accidentally changed all the IP addresses to the wrong server trying to setup a dynamic DNS for the new server, it changed ALL the IP addresses to the new server LOL. Anyway, I apologize, it's fixed now and we should be good to go.
I have been getting the itch to start working on a new project, been playing way too much dwarf fortress lately, and wanting to do something multiplayer in the same vein. Anyway, I'm pretty swamped with my full-time work, so we'll see how much progress I can make on that.
Anyway, cheers everyone, I'll try my best to poke my head in more often..

It's not DNS
There is no way it's DNS
It wasn't DNS, it was IP.
Glad to see it solved.
And to see you still around enjoying the nostalgia that is DS.
We do to.
But a multiplayer Dwarf Fortress would be a real mad thing to make.
Or if something else, i just hope you can enjoy making it.

This game brings back memories. I remember playing as a young kid (hence the username haha) because back in the day eve online way way too confusing.
I've since sunk many hours in eve, been successful and moved on.
Now been playing nebulous fleet command.
I have dark space to thank for introducing me to the sci fi ship combat genre. (Would be cool to get a dark space remaster or sequel on steam)
I'm not actually sure this is the original account I played or not. I had quite a few accounts and old emails.
Did the Agincourt carrier dreadnaught requirements get changed to fly?
I remember flying it and the awe of first using it.
According to the wiki I don't think I'd have the needed rank or badges.
