how do the numbers in my prestige profile translate in actual prestige?
For instance, if i have 1 million resources lost, how much prestige loss did that translate in?
Or, i have 30 bonus prestige from scenario, how much prestige is added to my total prestige?

Answered the mass/thrust related question. Need to ask about releasing the prestige information, I don't know if that's allowed or not.

thank you fattie that helps a lot. one follow up question just to veryfy:
prestige loss is resources lost x 0,005. that means that for a cruiser that i delete from my sy to get a tranny, or engy, i lose 60x5=300 pres... (60K x 0,005)
u sure it isnt 0,0005?

how does the mi faction choose a planet to glass? are there any restrictions on it?

resources lost is only added when your ship is destroyed
the prestige you would lose from a ship that calculated as:
<Prestige Modifier>* ((rank * .04) * CostToBuild)
An Admiral(rank 10) losing a ship that costs 60k to build would lose
.005 * ((10 * .04) * 60,000) = 120
For comparison, Let's say you destroy a standard armor on a UGTO dread (roughly 112k hp). The amount of prestige you gain would be calculated as:
<Prestige Modifier> * (Raw Damage / constant) * <.1 if didn't damage the hull>
3 * ((112,000 / 20,000) * .1) = 1.68
Doing that damage in hull gives you 16.8 prestige, obviously.
Also of note is that fighting AI gives you full prestige up to Lt (rank 3), half prestige up to Rear Admiral (rank 8) and one fourth prestige after that

How did prestige loss for resources lost gets u to ship damage? do i also get resources lost added for armor and hull damage?
if so, is hull dmg added to resources lost lineair to ship total resource cost?
for instance 60K ship, 50% hull dmg, i get 30K resources lost added?
and how much resources lost get added from armor? oh and shield

go to shipyard screen, select a ship.
how many resources does it need? thats the resource value of the ship.
did you die? add resource value of ship to resource lost statistic, then apply prestige calculation rules
take note, that where the resource value of different ships in same category varies, hull strength of the ships remains the same. cant really get to ship damaged from res lost, as armor can be regenerated and hull can be repaired.
cant directly relate from f(x) = x + nx/10 (ship damaged characteristic) to g(x) = x + a + b + c (resource value characteristic) because both are different views pertaining to same object.

If you fire a beam alpha, will it continue to do damage even if the target flies out of the lasers arc while it's still firing?
I know the laser effect stays on the target the whole time, but not sure if it is still dealing damage.
Also, if you fly out of and back into that firing lasers arc, do you resume taking damage? [ This Message was edited by: Fluttershy on 2012-05-01 19:52 ]
