I'm planning on having my account locked, can someone fill me in as to what the procedure is to have this done? I'm quite certain that an admin is involved, but at this time, none were actually online.

ask any of us admins to lock your account and feel free to contact us again to unlock it at any later date

as far as i know, it means he gets NO acces to the account himself, and while locked it will not be deleted either (functions the same way as a ban, so hes actualy asking to be permabanned untill further notice)

a looked account can still be accessed by the player, so you shouldn't lost your account information
the good thing on a looked account is, that it won't get deleted someday when you didn't log in for a while.

I'm with the military, and while I was away Griff was kind enough to lock my account for me. Very handy, you retain your prestige (though it will look like zero and you will be a midshipman until you resub). But nothing gets deleted. If you are away for extended periods, this is the way to go.

As most of you know, I've got the most inconvenient timezone, every time I have logged on recently there are no admins around. Any chance that I can have this organised and done through email? I can email an admin, but I don't know which one I can / can't bother.

you can bother any admin, execpt Faustus himself.. he's busy coding, that's why we're in charge of the community stuff
