I think it would be extremely beneficial at the very least to be able to give any ai ships in the metaverse that you have purchased 2 basic commands. 1. Follow you 2. Hold current position or a position marked in the f2 menu. If possible like maybe a bit more advanced commands like directing your ai ships to escort another player ship on your faction. Maybe also the ability to attack enemy planets and specifically any building you chose on the enemy planet. I could go on and on, feedback greatly appreciated.

i like this ability, but at the same time, escorting another player is unnecessary, as essentially, you COULD give them the credits to go buy the support ship themselves, which would accomplish the same goal.

I'm confused. This system is already implemented. You can give Go To, Defend(Escort), and attack orders to your purchased AI already.

If this is true it isnt in the dev logs. Was a chief complaint of mine.

I for one don't much want to see this back. The giant horde of player controlled AI ships was not a very enjoyable mechanic. That being said, being able to force the supply class allies to repair certain ships would be awesome.

You can only control 3 purchased ai at a time. You should be able to control them or there is NO reason to waste REAL money on them.
