Okay, after the realease of the big patch I've had DS crash once (because I was running too many backround programs most likely, window's media player, photoshop elements with a ton of stuff open and excel...). But now that todays patch has been released I'm crashing within the first 10 minutes of joining a game, and not just a DS crash, but a total system crash that I'm forced to reboot from...manually reboot. It's happened twice so far and I really don't want to test it again since XP decides that manually rebooting merits a checkdisk which takes forever...my basic system specks are (I can get more advanced ones if they're needed)
2.4 gig pentium 4
1 gig ram
ati radeon 9800 pro w/ semi-old (2 patches back I think, maybe just one) drivers (updating drivers always causes my comp to be unable to run any games for a day to a week, so you can see why I'm reluctant to do it for a minor .0001% performance boost...)
I would post the DS crash thing, but there is none since I have to manually reboot...boy am I glad I delayed subbing to a few days from now...otherwise I might be a little angry

Your computer is over-heating... go get some canned air, clean your CPU heat-sink...
AND/OR
Run setup, turn on the FPS limit and limit your framerate to 60-30 frames per second...

Umm actually I just recently (as in a few days ago) cleaned my PC's fan, I'm 99% sure it's not overheating since my computer has never once overheated before and I've played the BF2 demo at high settings (which takes a lot of system stuff). And unless I'm mistaken when a PC overheats it shuts down automaticly correct? My PC just freezes, I see whatever screen I was seeing until I manually shut off my comp...I also don't see how my comp could overheat after 10 sec. in game...I'm relatively sure it's not my PC, although I just found out it might be my internet...Cox gets very unreliable after storms and we just had a big one last night...I'm gonna try again tommorrow and see what happens...

Actualy Faustus, i've been getting client freezes A LOT, I currently am not playing because of it...I thought it was a known issue.
I know my pc isnt overheating, its fine, yet, withing 5-10 mins of playing, it locks, and I have to ctrl+alt+delete out. If I play the game fullscreen, I cant even see the task manager and have to manualy hit c and alt+e untill I have the right C-lient.exe.
