Alright boys and girls,
first of all I want to thank all those ppl that helped me creating the video by sending me great screenshots.
Sheng (the other cruiser in the video)
BackSlash (screenies)
TheTerminator970 (screenies)
and Dauphin (screenies)
Now you all want the file ... right?
I'd be greatful if someone else could host mirrors or an admin upload it to the DS.net download section (admins remove the link in this post then plz) because right now the file is on a server of a friend of mine.
Finally, here is the video:
DOWNLOAD
(8,9 MB packed, 13,0 MB unpacked, 3ivx Codec)
post comments here pleAse !

Unfortunately, my computer has troubles reading the visual images on the video. I'll fix it later, but as of right now I can't see a thing.
Very nice sounds, though. Whee!

None of those media players I know of like to play 3ivx formats... you might as well d/l the 3ivx player.
http://www.fileflash.com/?action=info&program=1618
Also, be sure you unrar it before use.
Alrighty, about the video:
- Sound was a little scratchy for me, but then again that might be the codec.
- Same with video. Seemed really blocky and such in transitional frames. (Again, probably codec)
- In the 'Want more?' section, try holding up those frames a bit longer. On some of them, I had no clue what they were, and I doubt new people would have any idea either. Perhaps a full second, something more than the .00000000000000000000001 seconds as it is right now...
- Good tying in sounds w/ the video. Sounds like I'm on the bridge of an assault cruiser, and those vids of an AC in action sweetens the deal.

As you may have found out already, JackSwift is our resident critic...
And therefor, I must disagree with him in some aspects.... it is true, that the screenies at the end do go by a bit fast, but it is far from incomprehensive.... you need not make it, so a newbie can see what it is, only enough to make him get an interest in what it is
And about the sound and video part. It's your codec JS

I would like to see it as a straight mpg file without a compression codec (that will what, quad the size? Not too familiar with it honestly) and see how that effects the quality.
Quite good, with the exceptions that Jacko mentioned

I like to offer constructive criticism.
Also, if this thing does start circulating the net, I'd suggest what Coeus mentioned... have it as straight mpg or somesuch. People are lazy, and if they can't view the video on the first shot, I doubt they'll start searching for different codecs and players.

I can render it with other codecs... but mine are not up2date and I'm to lazy to download newer ones or I just don't know how to configurate the codecs... .... oh and yes, the codec takes alot of the qualitiy. If it would be without a codec size would be at more then 100mb... just fyi ( :

Shakal it is my experiance that Sorenson Codec for .mov is the most commonly used movie type on the internet. its also high quality for low file size.
if your using Premiere or AfterFX render as .Avi with the sorenson codec. and it will all be taken care of =)

i liked it, but again, divx format (standart settings) or any other codec and, hmm yes i had no problems watching but the sound was a little bit crappy and i had a green think on the right, so new codec. And better quality.
Hmm 1:28min could be 12mb Highres.
Bye
