We are aware of the current issue where on occasion spawning from shipyards the player immediately dies.

This issue came about shortly after we resized the stars and planets in the game so that scouts were no longer bigger than most moons. Increasing the planets and stars size also increased their kill radius.

A check is done by the game code to make sure you are safe to spawn, but what has been happening is that as the planets orbit and move, you spawn and a few seconds later travel 5 or 10 gu and then are killed. (Even in orbit you are dragged along by the planet.)

We, actually Shig, is reworking all the maps to spread out the planets better so they are not to close to each other or their star. He will also be fixing their Orbit speeds so you can not be smacked by one as soon as you spawn.

We are also increasing the spawn scan to 200gu's out to detect issues before you spawn.

In the meantime, before you select a shipyard to spawn at, look closely at the spawn map and make sure its not to close to another planet or star. For people building planets, refrain from placing shipyards on planets to close to stars.
