Now my ideas that should make the the game more intresting.
UGTO: Heavy assualt weapons platforms. Heavily armored, can take a real beating. Long Range combat. uses mainly 270º weapon firing arc for main weapons, and light 360º weapons. Massive damage weapons.
Speical Ability's: Long range bombarding of planetary targets. Slow tracking rate. Armor dones not regenerate(or has ammo or uses energy to regerate armor) (slower Jumpdrive recharge rate)(and a 1750gu dictor). Speed disruption field, Optional system creates a destortion around ship to slow down other craft and ships so weapon mount can target craft and hit it. (50% reduction in speed of all craft freind and foe) Lasts for short periods of time.
Speical Ships: Repair Crusier mounted with multiple repair pods to aid in allies during battle or not, only 1 repair pod can be used on one ship at a time.
ICC: Fast manverable Ships, uses Mobilty to flank larger targets and attack from weaker side. Uses lightermount weapons due to the fast rate of turning and dodgeing. 360º arcs all most strike craft, but scarfice raw firepower for prestion strikes on same spot on target.
Speical Ablities: Shields Rotatable but has less protection, faster recharge rate, and can get aid from other ships. (Shield transfer Devices installed by default on all ICC strike craft)(dictor range on Planets range of 2000gu)(planary shields, covers sections of planet from bombardment, and landing pods. not 100% from pods) Anti-Bombardment system Optional. Creates an Omni-directional high energy pulse which desrupes all weapondary. Ship uses on board shields to create the pulse useing up 50% of shields to create wave.
Speical Ships: Energy generation field Dread, causes all ships shields in a 750gu range of ship to recharge faster (about 50% faster and does not stack with other dreads) Can only maintain shield boost for 1 min, then must recharge capactiors for 30 seconds. Also shield of ship drops 75% recharge rate due to use of field.
Kluth: Uses a blend of Stealth manverablity and close range firepower. Arc is only a 90º firing arc. Uses Ugto type weapon mounts on the smaller type of strike craft. Craft highly speicalize for either close range attacking or heavy firepower. Uses stealth to surprize targets and kill them.
Spiecal Abilties: Stealth Interdictor Field, doesnt alarm of entering a Dictor Field. Optical and sensor cloaking device Installed onto all strike craft. (bigger ships Dreads/stations also give off a general cloaking field to aid in cloaking of smaller strike craft) Anti-Dictor system(Optional system), effects only strike craft can create a stablizeing field around ship to active around to allow it to go into Jumpspeed. Due tot eh system onyl being able to create it in a short distance around the ship (10-40gu, based on hull size) Escape isnt always gaernteed, the closer you are to the scorce of the distubances the less likely you will be able to create a stable enough area around your ship. (pretty much if you are close to the interdictor ship, you can "try" to use the system but most likely it will fail and have to recharge to try agein.
Speical ships: Cloak enhancing ship crusier, helps to hide ships from Anti Cloaking fields and dection.

... well this is similar to what already exists, bu I agree, the factions should be more specialized, but first, like I said aerlier ALL the dreads need to be upgraded... except for the missile dread cause giving it more armor wouldn't be wise...

I still think all the tech trees should be completely changed and advance differently. I dont like the idea that, say, UGTO is meant to have the most advanced drive, and yet, they start with IE drives, like EVERYONE else, such as the Kluth, supposedly an alien race.
I dont like the idea of a joint pool of tech at all. Every faction should not have any technology that is the same as anothers.

just go to a point were you have weapon slots, chemial laser slots, and the others
no heavy no criscrass
every weapon has a amount of space it uses
beacon = 20
rail gun = 80
particle cannon = 60
EMP = 55
AR = 160
Sabolt = 200
P torp = 480
F torp = 400
IT = 560
Nuke mine = 360
EMP mine = 300
AM mine = 340
some ships have restrictions like only bombing ships can ware bombs
mirv = 380
bio-cluser = 320 (k'luth only)
PCM = 780 (human only)
pulseL = 60 (ICC only)
Elf = 150 (k'Luth only)
CL 300 = 120
CL 500 = 180
CL 1K = 300
CK 2K = 440
Disrupter = 360
: H Disruptor = 450
etc. i would like to make a full list but its 5:23 over here its right about time to go to bedd
if you have comment than ill try to make a full post and put every thing in
(used the current weapons)

And NO my system is NOT in place. as it is, if your not kluth your ugto, and if your nto ugto, your icc and alot of icc fighting off kluth and other stuff

what i was trying to get at is, that there is no tactics special to each side
we all pretty much have the same ships
Kluth are the only faction that is unique fighting style, due to 1 less armor, 2 a farly useless cloak, 3 lots and lots of Hvy beams, 4 a really kick butt destoryer class ship
What i want is accutly to have a unique feel for each faction, like ICC being long ranged, UGto being med/close range combat, Kluth the hit and run faction
What i mean by Long range, ICC (or whatever side you wanna pick) Pretty much if its long ranged, they have the best thing for it, and in short range they have the wrost thing
Ugto Med/short good balance firepower on both long range AND short range combat
Kluth short range stay hidden type stuff

As long as i get my smurf cannon after the next patch il be ok.Move abeam of em' and give em' a broadside of papa smurf.
KAMAKASI SMURF!!! you know the game needs em.EVERY game can be improved by adding smurfs being smashed/pulverised/cut up/blown up.Blue and red chunks for everyone

He said that Kluth will get interceptors, ICC gets bombers and UGTO gets assault fighters, but all factions will get all 3 fighters
