Time-
a relative unit of reference
a second is the length for 9,192,631,770 periods of radiation relative to the transformation from the two levels of the ground state of a cesium 133 atom.

no...i don't think it was Einstein, he was more into facts, not the human conception how how fast or slow time passes

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.
Pink Floyd - Time.

Star trek TOS and party TNG, were the REAL Star trek series, and real embodiment of the Roddenberry's idea of Space.
Yesterday, I was watching an episode of TOS, I think it was "Catspaw", two alien creatures were simply portrayed and animated with two marionettes.
Although the episodes were produced with very little money, they were more interesting, and had substance, no matter how poor the scenes and effects were.
Ds9, Voy, and Enterprise, with all their expensive effects, they're way more boring, simply because they don't have stories to tell, it's not sci-fiction anymore, it's just a kind of action series, lots of phaser blasts, shape shifters, which make them look like an episode of Stargate.
This is a common problem with Hollywood lately, since they've started with this CGI crazyness. Too much space given to effects, lil to stories.
The real substance of Sci-Fiction is within great stories told by great writers, like Asimov, Bradbury, etc etc, and were telling about future, fantasy, politics, this very essence is simply absent in recent productions.
