I must agree with my political brother upon this matter.
The CD namesake should still be carried on through the future even if it is only an abbreviation of a true name befitting the federation. Please be serious in nominating a name for the sake of not only today's ICC but also the future of its people.
Carry on,
Jean Garnier
Admiral

While I am fond of a few names here, I would like to note that this was aimed at the ICC Population =P

Oww Oww can we name CD, "Moo"?!?!?!?!
lol
Or can I have a (as in one eeeny wheeeeeny teeeeny) planet out in the middle of nowhere (or somewhere) be named Moo? Pretty pretty please?!?!?! With a chocolate covered cherry on top?
Or better yet, how about naming one of the MIR planets, Moo. *sings to herself* "Can't touch this! da na na na da na da na Can't touch this!"

I'm seeing a lot of interesting suggestions, but quite honestly I was, and I think we in ICC leadership were in general, expecting suggestions more ... well, more with CD in their names.

A fair point, Madame Representative, however in your summary of the referendum some days ago, I recall hearing something along the lines of:
Quote:
| There are no limits onthe suggestions. |

Perhaps this is not only a case of the High Councillor being overly wordy but of you being overly succinct. I must ask whether or not suggestions without the desired "CD" will be considered.
My regards

Serge Roux:
Sorry for any confusion. Any and all recommendations and nominations are being accepted at this stage. However, after they are collected, they will be given to the Scientific Committee (SciCom), which will help to narrow down the choices to make a more coherent and brief ballot. In reiterating the desire to maintain the CD acronym for the system, I was not trying to stifle any serious suggestions; rather, I wanted to give some guidance for citizens on what exactly the SciCom was looking for.
This is not to say that the SciCom will reject nominations without a CD in them; rather, I just wanted to point out that including it will increase the chances of your nomination being approved as a replacement name for the system.
Regards,
Allandre Lissierre
Deputy High Councillor
Interstellar Cultural Confederation

Caevuleum Domus---which is latin which breaks down to...
Caevuleum-Blue
Domus-House
Blue as in the color of the planet as seen from space and House as in a Home.Almost looks like earth in other words.

I would just like to note that Simba means Lion in an african language. Mufasa means King, etc. they really didnt reach too far for names in that movie.
