I do not believe the issue is the recent update. Yes ICC can take a small beating now.
But yes ICC in fact outnumbers Luth and UGTO at the moment. I still take a lot of damage 1 vs. 1, if not lose an AD.
I do remember when Luth outnumbered both factions and everyone else complained... everyone got owned.
I would not use last patch as an excess for complain. Today ICC had 21 players on. UGTO had about 12 and Luth had 5 or 6...
Strength in numbers in not a mis-balance by the Devs.

Huh? That's what you want to do, focus fire on 1 arc so you penetrate to the hull that much faster. Can't always do that. Even with shield rotating that arc is still taking double damage.

ICC ships have rotating shields. Yep.
So if you hit multiple arcs, where's the ICC pilot going to shunt shield power to? Which arc?
By hitting multiple arcs at once you further dilute the energy the pilot is trying to compensate for. Hitting all on one arc allows the ICC pilot to shunt energy to that one shield, meaning he can shunt 100% of his energy to the one arc being hit. Meaning you have to rip through all his shield energy before you hit hull.
Hit multiple arcs at once and you at best have to tear thru 50% of his energy to hit hull, as opposed to 100% before tapping hull.
Means, especially for a K'Luth ship, beware of attempting to solo a ship of equal class. And that is how it is supposed to work.

You may have to go through 100% of his shields, but you're doing double damage to that arc, vs single damage to two arcs and each having to get through 50% shields. And once you get past those shields on that single arc, you get through the armor twice as fast which he can't rotate. On two separate arcs it will take twice as long to get through that armor, theoretically.
It's all theoretically, because what dread will let two ships fire at the same arc continually?
Plus it's not always worth it to wait and try to line up so two ships fire at the same arc. Firing on two arcs is still good and sometimes a lot better than trying to move into a slightly better position and risking that the target will leave or turn or whatever.
EDIT: Basically yeah, 1v1 Kluth cannot win. But if theres two Kluth vs 1 target, it's best to try to hit the same arc. But if that would require too much time to set up, or there's other situations you want to avoid like his jumpdrive might recharge before you're ready, forget it and just fire at the arc facing you.

is someone complaining because he lost to ICC? now that the tables have turned, everything seems to be the opposite. the post was edited, so i dunno what the OP was trying to say though, but as Azreal said, adapt, don't whine.

I personally do not see anything wrong with the new update, I applaud the devs to give some playability for the ICC fans to actually enjoy their faction and flying their ships and for us to have something to shoot at.
Combat hasnt changed for me I still and will approach them from dead six if I am alone or will fly in a wolf pack with other K'luth members.
ICC are a defence faction and they been given a boost to help their survivalibility. K'luth been given a slight regen and resist on the Chitinous Armour, we dont see anyone complain about that, and it does allow us to feel abit more armoured though Defence enchancements does help aswell - weapon multi exchancement players probably wont see much difference.
Yes UGTO and K'luth are feeling abit low on numbers at the moment especially in euro times but we have to remember that ICC were merely extinct for months, and you are whining because they are able to put up a fight, give them a break.
Sounds like someone needs to stop whining and adapt and learn how to play K'luth as they should be.
