I would like capped ships to become like item shop ships in that they follow and defend the player untill death or after the standard time limit as is with item shop ships.

Do they not do this already? That seems like the logical way to go about it.

Azrael pretty much said what I was going to, the only change that would make any sense for a captured ship would be making them orderable by the player that captured it. That alone would be more than enough of an incentive to try capturing ships.

Same here i would like to be able to order my newly captured ship so that way it has a chance at being of some use instead of just crashing into a planet or being killed by the enemy you capped it from.

1. Bad bad bad idea. Your talking about being able to hop into an EAD as an ICC player....and technically ships don't die anymore...so......hell no bad idea.
2. Capturing is not worthless just because you don't get to fly it. That's entertainment value, not game value. I have, on more than one occasion, turned a 2 vs 1 their way into a 2 vs 1 my way by dropping on one of their ships at the beginning of the engagement.
3. The only thing that needs to be brought back is targeted infantry drops on ships, so that you could, say, target the jd module, drop your troops, and they go in and tear up the enemy's jd. That we used to be able to do. And we used to be able to retrieve inf back from the ship too.
Keeping capped ships is just a balance breaking nightmare.
