Howdy all,

first at all...while noone showed up at the (short)anounced meeting i decided to made a post.

Well...here it is.

The UGTO is weak at the moment.
That is nothing new for us all.

After the last big attack from ICC last night, MoA decide to take a role as the defender.

We will defend our systems till wolf.
When it is possible to us.
WE will not attack any other systems.So you have mostly not to care about it.

The biggest Fleet is online when we are off.So we try to hold and secure this systems.and then u can go in outer space.
That means u dont have to recapp and to waste the time.



The whole UGTO must stay defensive at the moment till we work well together.
Let us get some Fun back while fighting in OUR terretory.

The main reason why i begin this is:

-We need to act together.

-We also need that if someone calls for help in MV..we HAVE to go there and not to play on FA till the Map ends .

-That means also we need a better comunication.
use the clansend or add the "Fleetleaders"/or most active MV player to ur friendlist

-We have to be big groups to do good and not frustrating fights.
cause we need a 2:1 to win most battles.

Here are some suggestions for battle groups.

Take always a dictor with u.
Dictor is quiet fun....he gives u time and also prevent the enemy to escape too.

Station is nice...we all know.
But do u really think it is good for the speed.

just take 2 or 3 Trannys. same amount of troops
but really faster.
Easier to destroy too....but cheap ships.

Build nice fleets.

Most of us tends to the same shipstyle fleets.

mix them.

cause that we are the underpowered faction, we need the speed.
use dessies.well modded..some for close range ..some with missiles.
or use the cruiser....
but
the best way is still to act as a group....

Do it like the kluth.....all at one target....one after one.

And another note.
Try to make a time when u will go to MV.
Do it so that most ppl from ur clan know when they have to be there.

If not enough online ..ask the other clans....best cap runs often happend without any timimg.

There was a time when we all knewed...ICC will stay in Sol in 20 mins..lets prepare...

MoA have done the same in Luyten over days....
That was fun but the enmy is learning too.

so Change this times..no system

The important thing is and will be

Stay together

Concentrate on one target. Wait till ALL are ready.Be a team.

That we have to learn again.

we have many enthusiatic players who show up but they are outclassed by more experienced players in better and bigger ships....with a little training and organization they will make a strong faction

Pat gives some really good advice!

I would also add to that we REALLY NEED supply, especailly when we have fewer players on. If you dont have a supply ship, think twice about engaging the enemy. I think supply is probably the most important ship in the UGTO fleet. If you are flying the supply, focus on SUPPLYING and not attacking.

I noticed that in ICC fleets too, we dont have dictors, we often dont have supply ships (Command Carriers sometimes), sometimes we have a Sensor Frig too, but usually we have to fight against cloaked Kluths
And just because we are more people!
Some teamplay wouldn't be bad for ICC as well
That was great during the underdog days...

I cannot count the number of times I have sent distress calls to ALL UGTO clans and no one ever shows.

he he i remeber being in ross 148 with two other ICC being overun my UGTO. Things looked bleak indeed, so one of the mates went to lobby and called for the calvary not 2 minutes latter S.W showed up with half a dozen AC and AD and saved the day. The point is you got to have those active mv players to do well

at last someone have seen the light

fleets working together and cordinating is the only way kluth have stayed strong in mv even with the current an for a long time lack of active kluth players in mv.

do this and you will prevail in DS .

Tactics and fleets organisation are vital to all fleets

and as a ICC Player i agree with you that it really sucks to play against an other faction, who is definately stronger. But you can do it and i am sure there already was a time, when an other fleet was weaker too.. i honor in this case every UGTO Fleet. Keep cool and just do it!

i was pretty busy to last couple weeks but I'm always willing to help in MV. Just give me a shout and i will show up. Usually in a supply and i like to command an interdictor as well.

as stated in the add.:
SSC is on recruiting status to set up a strategic UGTO fleet. Interdictors and Supplys are available at all times. We are looking for a Station, some Carrier Dreads for artillery and combatcruisers for cover. EADs and assault ships are required for attacks.

UGTO has the best setup ship wise to make a battlegroup.


a nearl unbeatable battlegroup would be


2 Carrier Dreads
1 Command Dread
2 Elite Assault Dreads
4 Topedoe Cruisers
2 Battle Cruisers
1 Interdictor Cruiser
6 Assault Cruisers
4 Heavy Supply



That battle group setup would have long range, mid range and short range assault ability, and could match a fleet of nearly twice its size and win. even at half that strength it would be a force to be reckoned with. A good Kluth fleet would be

1 Ganglia
2 Siphons
4 Manadible's
4 Scale's
1 Piercer
6 Claw's
4 Ultimate Workers

again, the Manadibels provide a ranged punch, plus the entire group has a mid ranged punch and short range anything would be nearly instantly slaughtered.

ICC could run similiar to both Kluth and UGTO with a battlegroup, their ships are a bit more versatile.
