account prestige keeps resetting problem |

ok, the other day I was playing, and got the rank of Lt.Cmdr. with a total pretige value of like 350... the next day when I logged in, I was a 1st Lt. again with 162 prestige. then last night I was playing and got the rank of Lt.Cmdr back, and with a prestige value of 440.000 roughly, and today I login and I am back to 1st Lt, with a prestige of 162..
what exactly is up with this? a bug? or someone playing around in my account...
All the rest of my stats seem to be right, with the exception of my prestige and rank..
I have been in the FA server, and the ICC Metaverse server...
As I figure it I should be a Commander in rank by now.. or close to it...
can you guys help on what I need to do??

Are you scrapping buildings?
Are you stripping out ship devices and selling them for money?
Are you dying a lot?

one of my clan mates says it's legal to strip ships and sell the parts...
is this something new added or am I mistaken?

As I so wonderfully found out myself (and ended up with a negative 600 or so prestige for it), it's called Embezzlement. It exists in the real world, it exists in the game. It's illegal in both places and penalized as well  . Scrapping buildings gives a Huge loss of prestige (ideal for discouraging saboteurs), and dying loses resources relative to your now blown up ship's value (thus deterring dying  ). The almighty gave me a second chance at life, but short of that (and as an alternative I was unaware of at the time) you can reset your profile to wipe your slate clean  Play nice now.

It's perfectly legal to strip parts of your ship.
You just gain WAY more resources lost than you gain cash. This was added into the game around a year ago to stop people from making free money

It's perfectly legal to strip parts of your ship.
You just gain WAY more resources lost than you gain cash. This was added into the game around a year ago to stop people from making free money
