It would be nice if there was a way to stay logged in or auto-login to the forum when you visit it. I check in through my browser all the time and it's really annoying having to login manually each visit.

Beta GCQL has the auto login feature. So you can simply click it, it starts up and you're logged in to the forums also.

I believe this version of PHPBB doesnt have that function.
I have to say it would be nice.

I know Chromix, but I'm talking about through a browser (with like cookies or something?), not through DS or GCQL. I want to be able to visit the forum from work for example (if I had a job 8p ) where I wouldn't have DS installed and not have to log in all the time.

Okay touchy subject for me ...
I agree somewhat With whats said , as i Have a Problem with logging into forums on both beta & release .. I CANNOT be logged into both at same time , in oreder for me to make a post /reply /view my Fleets Forum i have to log out of QCGL & open a new browser & log into the forum/website ...

Needless to say it is a pain in the rear ...

Yes i have tried All selvs suggestions in hhis helpful post , I have even d/led & installed some things that chromix himself hooked me to .. yet I still have this BS problem ....
i run ie6.0 & everything is totally updated including my W98se .

If i could be automaticly logged into website/forum &/or QCQL i would be rapped .. But will that even fix my problem .. ? : anywayz .. im prolly a bit off topic .. Juz dam Agro about having to log out & in & all about to enjoy the service/community for which i pay..

Those were two independant solutions. If neither one works its extremely likely that your ISP redirects all your traffic through a misconfigured transparent proxy which may be causing the problem.
