Right now there is nothing you can do WITH stock items on a planet (like IE engines and Tachyon jump drives). There is no concevable reason anyone would buy these items.

The only way to get RID of them is to scrap the starport they are at (which would also remove any/all other items there) This isn't a good solution.

There should be a way to scrap/recycle/convert items so that you can get rid of them and maybe get some resources back in the process.

An example, with the recent influx of players to the UGTO side in the MV, modding has shot sky-high. Our Kluth tech planet has run out of resources and we can't build any AMEs or AMJDs. We also have over 800 IEs sitting ont he planet doing nothing. Now, even if we only got back HALF the resources needed to build an IE (Who would ever build one. Why is that an option), that already would be over 4000 Urdanium for example.

So I propose a RECYCLER building which would allow you to recycle items on a planet and get back half the resources spent building them.

hhmm, pretty good idea... also it would be cool, if all which is dropped to the recycler is subtracted from res-lost.

Shush Mystikal! Damn, now they know where our secret IE drive stash is. Do you know how long it's going to take us to ferry 950 IE drives to a new secret location? You'd better get started.

Hehe. I agree, but it shouldn't be easy to do, I wouldn't want some n00b coming in and go "ohh, whats this do", push a button and all the AntiMatter Jumpdrives are recycled at once.... or even worse sabotage.
