i was thinking, i dont especially wanna reach fleet admiral cause after i do ill have nothing left to really aim for except enemy territory and the hull of enemy ships. i was telling my brother about this and he had a bright idea; make a Black Ops-ish sort of thing in each faction that Admirals and Fleet Admirals can join (or people with a set amount of play time, otherwise id increase the difficulty of gaining admiral and fleet admiral if i were you, which u should do neways).
itd include an entirely new set of ranks and badges (black combat, black engineering, etc., and i dunno what to name the ranks, something like the FBI id assume)
itd also be neat if there were new ships opened up to members of this elite little group, stuff that uses experimental or stolen technology (IE. an ugto destroyer with a peice of a kluth ship grafted onto it (my bro has some sketch art in the works, was his idea also) that allows it to cloak for short periods of time, but too long and itd begin taking serious damage), or a special dreadnaught that can move and turn faster then its standard counterparts, a possibility for kluth would be a special cruiser dedicated to shield disruption, but otherwise extremely weak
black ops ppl would also get specal missions, such as to specifically bomb the hub of an enemy planet, or destroy another planets power supply (itd be neat if each faction had specilaty units that roamed around using the AI transports, i.e. important political figures that could be assasinated or sumtin)
if it gets implemented a new chat feature /send black would be cool to communicate with other black ops ppl in a faction
if my brother figures out how to work a scanner and is lucky while drawing his shipy things u might get some sketch art for new designs you could use anyways =)

The Idea is nice but if its something special then you should do something special to get this.
Farming 41000 Points doesnt really make you special, my Dead Dog Could Prolly make Fa within 3 months....

all gold medals, 6-8 months of playing time sound good? then again i think gid said he didnt actually want ppl getting all gold medals... maybe just 6-8 months or getting several kills and no deaths in a row?

Gold Medals aint that hard either.
Most players will have them because they want all the ships 
As for 6-8 Months play time.
Do you mean actually being online for 6 months or having an account that is 6 months old?

from 0 pres to FA in::
247games
535454.5 res lost
3449 jumps made
16169:27 time played
212 kills
182 deaths
from a month sub (30 days) i had 6 days left.. therefore FA in 24 days

There needs to be something more Extensive, this is a 2nd acct im writing this under, but in my other acct im at FA. And i feel happy im there, but at the same time id like there to be more.. who wouldnt?

oo, and while ud be an FA with standard ships youd start at the equivelant to ensign in the black ops thingy.
and it wasnt all my idea, me and my brother came up wit it together
Edit: my brother has come up with a list of ranks he just shoved infronta me (largest to smallest):
1. Commandant
2. Captain
3. Lieutenant Officer
4. Operations Officer
5. Black Operative
6. Operative
7. Special Agent
8. Agent
just some idears, not all that great really if u ask me (just wanted to make fun of my bro really )
