That's what i get each time i launch
I have win98, p3, 750mhz voodoo3000 agp and directx 8, anyone have any suggestions??

No solution, sorry
but same problem
"failed to initialize display"
"failed to initialize plattform"
Systhem:
win 98, geforce 2 mx(32mb) (detonator 4.13.01.1290), direktX 8.1(4.08.01.0682),
cpu celeron 466 mhz, 128 mb ram
Would also be thankful for any help

Be sure u have last official video driver
then change Video resolution in config!
(if you not know where then run DarkSpaceClientSetup.exe )
800*600*16 is minimal resolution u can select!

Im getting a "Failed to initialize display" error and it sees my card and I have the res set to 600x800 16 bit and I have a 3Dlabs Permedia 2 3D accelerator with up-to-date drivers and just to see if it would work I got the openGL drivers as well any help would be good thanks

well well here we go again with an old voodoo card - i see no other way then to get a new gfxcard - sorry see reply on other post regarding voodoo3

When you start up DS...select the setup option from the opening screen and make sure the DS video card settings is the same as what you are running your video card. That's what kind of card, color depth and resolution. I get this message when they are not the same.

I'm getting that...
Win2000 Professional, Dell XPS-Z, Pent III chip, NVidia TNT2 Model 64, 1024 x 768 x 60 (btw, the Client Setup doesn't have the res avail, but I've tried ALL of them)
Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Any suggestions, please use little words 'cause I'm relatively technical illiterate. Thanks!
