Okay I wasn't doing anything and I couldn't connect to darksapce. The internet tonight was totally acting screwy but now I can connect. So I went ahead and made the a preview of all possible Rank Insignia's...
All these ranks you could see in the chat lobby in gcql. So at a glance I could see that Joe Blow is now a 1st Lt. and he was a 2nd Lt. last night. A good eye apeel...
- 1. Midshipman
- 2. Ensign
- 3. 2nd Lieutenant
- 4. 1st Lietennant
- 5. Lietenant Commander
- 6. Commander
- 7. Captain
- 8. 2nd Rear Admiral
- 9. 1st Rear Admiral
- 10. Vice Admiral
- 11. Admiral
- 12. Fleet Admiral
Watch Yeah think of it?
I might change the Vice Admiral Image now that I can see them all lined up. To the Eagle with the arrows in his claws under cheveron...

i like it, but maybe more stars for Fleet Admiral, which means u have to give 2nd Rear, 1st rear, Vice and Admiral stars..

I dont really see why this is needed?
If your gonna place tags infront of names then please make it the factio tags. That way you can see what indies are in your faction and which arnt.
Of course, thats my opinion

No i think FA should be different like generals insignia's in the armed forces.
Once you see that star you know what it means. Plus later on if Faustus adds more rank to Darkspace you could have 2 stars by each other and then a circle of stars like 5 star Generals. For even more rankings...

FA should have 3 stars admirals have 2 stars VA has 1 gold star 1St rear got 2 silver stars 2nd 1 silver star rest leave

ditch the little guy and instead have the name appear in the color corresponding to the account (gray,yellow,green,white font color for name), the little guy looks wierd together with the insignia.
while you are at it, and also because kluth players with very USmil style insignia look wierd, why not develop a unique style for each of the 3 factions insignia!
the ones you posted would probably go really well for UGTO.
the icc should have less historical military and more functionally designed insigina, easy to recognize and meeting the generally more functional, StarWars-rebelish style of the ICC.
the kluth should have some fancy-looking kluthish-design stuff, althought i cannot really picture anything.

I wanted to keep this easy to remember. Do you know all the USA armed forces ranks Insingia's?
I sure don't them all. I am also a Vet. I want to keep this easy to remember, that's basicly why. KISS Keep It Simple Stupid...
The little guy is there so it makes people think a person is there. Kinda what smilely faces do in chat....
But if you think it would neat and kewl, go for it. Make your design's and put them up dude. So we can all check them out...
