Good point. I'd like to see something along the lines of a fragmentation mine, filled with SABOT's

~ dont watch gjames bond movies for realism ~ tho goldeneye was neat
i would think in the future they can proof a giant warship (one that has shielding and thick armor etc) against EMP.... I mean... there's ways to proof against EMP, even now.

@dom: that much range those emp burst dont have...
but its not only in james bond movies ... "operation broken arrow" (i think thats it) where they stolen some nuke warheads... or "the day after", there are many movies....
dont ask me how its working.. noone want to tell me.. some guys with f, a b and an i on their jacket told me not to ask more questions about it...

Goldeneye wasnt an accurate reperesentation of a orbital nuclear explosion, is all i am saying.
And yes, there's ways to make systems EMP-hardened, even now. The Military and esp. the Navy use them. (Navy because of nuclear missiles in sea warfare during cold war ~)

There can be many types of "emp"
There was a guy a couple of years ago making an homemade emp gun(transmitter that would fry electronic equipment)
Cops have been experimenting with a remote control car that goes under a car and fries its electronics.
You used to be able to rewire your radar detector with 4 components to make it loop back a radar signal, and if you boosted it high enough, it would fry the originating radar gun(don't try this now, new radar guns are protected and it will tell the cop that someone is trying to overload it).
They say an EA-6B Prowler has the ability to knock out an entire city electronic wise.
Anyway, fun stuff
