yeah, I prefer AM Torps myself, but F Torps are good for most cruiser class and above ships.
However, P Torps, they need some sort of change, because at the moment, there is no advantage to them. So i was thinking, from a balance point of view.
F Torps - Normal Range, Lowest Damage, fastest Fire Rate. 40 Ammo
AM Torps - Shortest Range, most Damage, slowest Fire Rate 40 Ammo
P Torps - Longest Range, Normal Damage, Normal Fire Rate 40 ammo
I think that would probably mean there is a usage for each torp type!
This then got me thinking. Why not have Missiles with the same type of properties as the torps, relating to each Faction
AM Missile
1500gu Range
reload rate as current IT Missile
Damage about 4 times that of current IT Missile
Ammo - 10 per slot
Fusion Missile
1800gu Range
Reload rate half 0.25 that of current IT Missile
Damage same as current IT Missile
Ammo - 10 per Slot
Proton Missile
2500gu Range
Reload rate 0.5 that of current IT Missile
Damage twice that of current IT Missile
Ammo - 10 per Slot
Anyhow, this might go a long way to giving more variety to ships, over and above the Fusion/AM Torps, which 1 do I use, torp space scenario we have currently!
