Seeing an Admin in the lobby always seems to promote the general morale of anyone in it, but they are always hidden, like the monkey within the pinata. Rather than a hide command, why not give them a 'block-whispers' command. It achieves the same thing, in most cases, unless the admin is hiding to look for those who would 'verbally' break the RoC when they think it is safe to do so.

No, because then if a player needed serious help and sent them a message and they were they, they could not help him.

I dont think any changes will occur to the Admin hide function.

Its good to hear the players input though, thanks for yours.

Not block-send, just block whisper. It will mean that players can still use /send but /whisper (which is recognized as a seperate command in most cases) will be blocked.

Even with the hide commands the admins are spammed with lots of needless messaging, ranging from contentless spam to issues that could and should be handled by the regular staff...

Many people seam to feel that their comment or issue demands Admin direct attention when in all honesty the Mods can normally handle the event with complete proficency.

The admins are kept quite busy with upper level user problems and server related tasks. Everytime someone tries to get an admin to handle their issue, that causes the admins to stop working on what it is we are on and hence cause delays in other projects. Most instances where an admin is called upon by the users directly are solvable at the Moderator level, so in fact the spamming of the admins is needlessly tasking and delaying them in completion of other tasks...

That is why the admins were given the hide feature... There is a chain of Support... If you have a issue to raise, you take it to the Mods... If the mods are unable to resolve the matter, then they (the moderator) escalate the matter to the admins.
