Can I upgrade and get better ships when I'm using the free trial? If so please explain how? Lol thanks!

oh you can upgrade (mod) your ships subscribed or not (free trials, referal credits, and the like give you all the perks of being subscribed) and while subscribed (or under a free trial etc.) you can gain prestige and rank and thereby gain access to more ships. once your subscription/free time runs out, you are demoted back to midshipman rank and are restricted to the demo ships only but you keep all your stats for the next time you subscribe/get free time
but you can upgrade your ship's components anytime, they just dont get saved unless your in the metaverse rather than a scenario server
