UGTO and ICC get them althought kluth can use them also.Nukes are mounted in heavy weapons,bomb,and heavy bomb slots.They are a IT missle with a 30 Megaton nuclear warhead.
The capability of the apocalypse nuke depends on what slot its mounted in.
If mounted in heavy weapons slot:Anti ship weapon only single 30 megaton warhead.
If mounted in bomb slot:Anti stucture weapon that carries the same warhead as ASM varient.
If mounted in heavy bomb slot:Same as regular bomb slot except it carries 4 10 megaton warheads that can be set to go after specific targets or go after one target.This varient can also engage ships as well.

So basically they would be super-charged Fusion Torpedoes? Fusion Torpedoes ARE nukes, according to the manual. Not sure how many megatons it would be.

Our ships can withstand anti-matter explosions, a tiny little 30 megaton warhead won't do much damage.

a nuke with 6lbs of plutonium would end most life on earth as we know it. for those of yoou who dont know mega tons is mesured accounding to TNT. there for 1mt nuke is = to the xplosion of 1 million tons of TNT. Man 100 mt nuke is pretty scary.

Why does everyone want enough firepower to wipe out a planet? If its enough to wipe out a planet, a ship can be too.
FYI: Did you know there is enough nuclear weapons in the world to destroy it eight times over? (I think it was eight)

Would be nice to be able to use weapons like that on planets, but lets say it has a down side, like adding an Atrocity rating in your profile, which would be a bad thing. Might work with the Influence system, as likely this would earn people nicknames like "The Butcher".

ok weapon capabilities for apocalypse nuclear missle (revised version)
1.anti ship version mounted in heavy weapons slot comes in apoc mk 1 and apoc mk 5 versions.Apoc mk1 is standard 30 megaton anti ship missle.
apoc 2 is 200 megaton station killer weapon that can only carry 1 missle per launcher.
2.anti structure version is apoc 2 which has 30 megaton warhead and annhilates a hub instantly.
3.apoc 3 is a anti structure/anti ship cluster nuke that carries 5 individual 20 megaton warheads that can go after different targets or hit one target.
4.Apoc 4 version is a antiship 10 megaton single warhead that is extremely manuverable and fast and can even score a direct hit on a fighter extremely easily.

Arizona, that's a myth that's been hyped up by anti-nuke hippies, politicans and movies. At most we have enough nukes to destroy every major city on this planet and the surrounding countryside. People and the planet would still survive (Nuclear winter is another myth).
Besides, don't you know? In Sci Fi everything has to be 100x more powerful then in real life (read the Star Wars Attack of the Clones: Incredible Cross Sections; the guns on the Clone Army transports, the big Star Destroyer-looking ones, are rated at 200 gigatons a shot!  )

Nuclear winter is not a myth, but a 'theory'. Even the U.S. Department had supposedly acknowledged the concept as being.
If the theory proved true, a certain number of the world's nukes being exploded with cause excessive amounts of dust and other particles to be thrown into the atmosphere, blocking out sun and causing global climatic changes. The ozone layer may even be destroyed, at least partially, and cause even further damage.
As for the blowing up the world thing, I heard it from some teachers and read it in magizines and encyclopedias.
I now realize this post has become a place to talk about nuclear weapons and how they they can be used to destroy eachother and planets...

actually,there IS a report filed that states if 6 10 MT nukes were to be detonated at specific points around the world it would crack the crust of the planet.ever notice that all nukes at set to explode in the AIR.....not on impact.
