ok, heres what I came up with :

I think we shouldnt be able to have infos on enemies ships or planets until we get closer enough to actually see infos.

As far as I know you can spot a ship at, say... 4000gus for bigger ships, but will show something like "UGTO Dreadnough Class" or "Kluths Cruiser Class )then you have to get at something like 1000gu of the ship to see which type it is and who is piloting it.

Same for planets, we shouldnt be able to see how many buildings it have or if it actually even have population, of course using scanner would become handy ... See what I mean ?

That is a good idea. Being able to see the planet and ship stats when no one is around for many many gus shouldn't be possible, unless you have spies everywhere that is. The scanner should do just that. If you can see a ship or whatever, it should show previous seen stats by the last person.

Imagine someone attacking a dread in a ship because it said 8& Hull and Armor. But when they jump there, it turns out it gots a supply and is at full health! That is poor intelligence.

Indeed, let's give the expendible Scouts and Frigates something to do!

Yeah!!

i hate that people get used to seeing even the player name that your fighting. Id prefer being under rated in battle. IE, change your name before you go into FA and see the difference in game play. youll see people dont give you respect and people will treat you like a noob.. Its great!!
