Hi, WEll, i would like to start learning Lua. sooo. before i go indepth, i can run everything on the Lua program, but how will i know it will work in DS..is there a special, like scripting pass i need?

please help, i don't want to start on the wrong foot!

p.s. if we Dl Lua 5.0, how do you open it, what program shoudl i use?

ehhm, first off.... i no absolutely nothing about scripting, but i dont think that you need a pass for scripting to DS. Just put the lua file into the DS folder and type in the run command ingame (on your own server of course, no scripting on official servers - BIG NONO!!)

secondly, you can type in the code with the "edit" command in your command prompt (windows standard)

You dont have the access to use the /run command, only staff do. You can however put a script in the script section of a map that you are going to run, it will load at startup. Asfar as your original question, i suggest asking chromix, he is THE man to talk to, next to big F

You have to learn a little lua and pass a little test before chromix will learn you anything. He gets offended when people learn to script so they can spawn gaifens etc
