I moved this over because I really think this is a good idea

I got it ..... this is THE Fix all ..

Jumpgates that will connect the current systems that do not have them, but with a twist. The gate will only respond to ships whos faction controls the system.

AND !!!! if the gate detects enemies it works the same way as a planet would and send out an alert.

this way you can still get to the front lines, keep the storage the way it was .. and provide transit to sections of spcae without the use of the WH. just may take a little longer.

You could even make it buildable by an engi with a certain rank and add it to the platforms list. It would be something destroyable and only visible unless found by an enemy faction.

Limit 1 per system

This is a greate solution. I have a similar idea but it involved buildable/destroyable gates.

I think the perfect conditions are when travel is very easy in faction space, but once you hit border, long jumps and WH are the only way to go.

Your idea should be easier to implement but mine should be more fun because it will turn game from "all you can cap" frenzy to "capture the flag planets and then everything else" type of game. There are not gona be flag planets per se, but there are gona be planets of extremly high strategic value. I think I'll post the proposal a bit later

I like it too, especially that it will send out alerts

I would liek to say 2 things:

1) I also think this is a good idea. It will let non-ICC fleets who lack a FA actually be able to get to the front lines without 10 minutes of long jumping.

2) Holy poop on a stick that sig is huge Xeodia
