It was the understanding of myself, and other players i had talk to that this had been dealt with and fixed, IE if your going to hit something, you dont get a white jumpline anymore,
but thats only part of the issue, since when in holy hell did asteroids ever destroy a ship in a jump?
and if thats now the case, why on earth did i get a white jumpline straight across an asteroid belt, that i had no way of knowing was there, and not knowing asteroids can now kill?
normally something this simple wouldnt bother me, but the fact is, with the state of being able to get at your ships, and getting them to any hotspot already being as bad as it is, to have to fly an Assualt Dread several million GU's, not to mention the only one i still have left avaliable due to this whole shipyard issue, and lose prestige, stats, and my time for hitting a damned asteroid belt that i knew absolutely nothing about because the game gave me a white jumpline.
Maybe that makes no sense, but what does is im seriously pissed off about something so small and i shouldnt be, so why am i? because the majority believe the problem was fixed, its not a new one, the whole detection system on jumplines has been a troublesome one for absolutely ages now, and it still continues to be a problem, mixed in with all the other issues, im finding it a very big one indeed.
Ok now im done.

Bansh, I think the not detecting asteroids and being destroyed by them at jump speeds is intentional. At least, that's the impression I got from the Dev Team.
I, for one, plan to go build Sensor Platforms near every asteroid field I can find once they're available.

I remember getting killed by asteriods at jumps speeds before the patch, that was freaky.
And it kinda makes sense too, its like if your in a car and theres pillar of rock in the middle of the road, do you expect it to leve the car intact if you hit it going 80 mph...realizim my friends...

Tell ya what Ent, name one portion of this game that is 'Real' and i'll take realism as an answer as to why i should lose my ships to 'invisible, unknown' killers
