Hi,
yesterday i played a really old game, which is called ascendancy.
Perhaps some of you know it
And there you can install some nice equipment at your ships.
Among other things a device which is called, emergency teleport.
It teleports you to your home system and only there from one second to the other. Perhaps this could be something which we can install at the bigger ships, dread and up i think.
Let me know what you think about that.

with jumping now allowed at any speed and no one playing dictors anymoe due to no grouping, i think its hard enough to kill people who like to run away without yet another method of escaping

if anything why would u put an emerjency teleport in a dread and up ?!?!?!?! the power consumption alone would be insane at best. although i wouldn't mind an emergency teleport in ships such as frigate and smaller. the size/power ratio makes a little more sense to me. but i dont think i would want another method of escape when im pounding some one in my torp cruiser

But dying does cost you prestige.
Personally, I think dying should cost a lot more than it does. That might make players think twice before jumping into a nest of enemy ships. Having a Deus Ex Machina save players from their own poor judgement is like sueing McDonalds for getting fat after eating there everyday for 10 years and not exercising.
