Any planned uses for the Tractor btw? Now that the only use is going away ;-9

sooo now we can't swap out the sensors on a dread for a reactor? Why don't we just make the bulleyes on their hulls BIGGER while we are at it.

What worries me is all the promises for 1481 that kidn of... fell short. Will 1482 really have all the stuff we've heard about? Only time will tell I guess...

Also, is there any progress on F's remote resourcer?

Sorry to say i didnt read the Entire Thread but heres my Question on modding.

Will there be any ability to "mod" what your ship looks like. For instance,
Lets say Im in a destroyer and i wanted to Weld on some extra engines from a old Sensor frig.. and maybe and xtra conning tower or 3 hehe.

What im getting at is what level of creativity can we reach with out balance Issues bombarding the fourms..

I hope so, cause in this version you can own every Dread with an TC,AC or scarab. I hope this will be changed, not to make all ships stronger and just get there where we are at the moment :/

Cause a Dread should be a Dread, his name should sound in the Chat window like the Word STATION, in the Version before 1.481!!!

And perhaps, Sheng will use an Dread too

as for 1481 i think it came out just fine, the chassis is strong now lets make it looks and handle REALY sweet

Id like the abbility to mod in the shipyard, and she ship comes out ready made if the parts are avaiable.....

But yeh, once the resourcer its finished, Gid, Tael, and others can start rolling out with real time patches and changes to the game.

There's one thing i've never quite understood on ship types and that is why Destroyers can't fit ECCM or ECM (mainly ICC, not sure if it's true for the other factions also). I like to fly Combat Destroyers, it suites my way of fighting (in quick, hit hard, get out again).

Now in my understanding Destroyers were always thought of as ships that found the enemy while escorting larger vessels and intercepted them and drove them off, now without ECCM you can't do that against Kluth, unless they are near a planet, i'd gladly give up one slot to have a single ECCM or ECM slot on a Destroyer, after all it's what there designed to do (find and attack vessels that threaten their escorts).

Over to you guys to flame this idea....
