Something i would like to see when trading with spaceports:

The item list is sorted in easily identifiable groups:-
Engines, Weapons Class I, etc. (arranged from low tech to high tech)

Also, it could be very nice for the players if the items themselves says what type of item they are.

This way all players can easily identify components immediately from the spaceport screen. And there's no need to repeatedly check the ship's slots and the spaceport screen.

anyone good at modding will know what weapons will go in which slot, and what the name is cause they put the cursor over the system and it tells you what it is

I think the what the original author of this thread had in mind was something helpful for people who might know the name of, say a AR Missle, but did not know the exact specs behind it. Or then again, maybe he had in mind something that would actually be benefitial for new players...

Something Constructive...cause afterall, we were all once New players, some more recently than others.

Thinking to help these new players, what would be exceedingly helpful for would be a link to a 'Specs' Page for each item. A small window would open, much as the 'Profile Window' appears when you hit F5. In this window would appear: Weapon Type, Slot Type, a brief description and then Damage Type (Splash or Constant, Steady Beam or dissipating)... what would be INSANELY helpful, but something the DEV team and ADMIN team has never seen fit to provide this community would be: Damage Tables for weapons.

They say this game has a high learning curve, perhaps something along this line would make it A. Easier and B. More Attractive for all those new or potential players.
