tired of having a white jumpline and smash into a sun or planet that SHOULD have made the line red...NOT WHITE>.

It's a bug, sometime the interface stop checking from obstruction in your jump and permanently show a white line... you should always make sure there is nothing in your way manually and if you see something close to your jump line, check scan to check what is your safety margin.

Jump-lines do not show hidden objects (i.e. asteroids)... those are considered navigation hazzards, and are just part of the risk when jumping.
However, I'm aware of an orbit lag issue that I will be addressing ASAP with a code update tomorrow.

Theres a Bug, depending on your Zoom Distance, where the Nav Map will not take Stellar Objects into account, resulting in White Lines Through Planets(tm).
I thought Pete posted the Screenshots of an incident. I've got some too..

I dunno. Maybe it's because I've been here through the times where a jump with a white line would get you killed, oh, 80% of the time. Maybe it's because I've been here since before that, when the jump hit detection had some sort of bug causing it to be reversed, and you basically had to never ever ever trust the "white line".
Reguardless of why, I still check my jump route for planets it comes near, and manually select it's stopping point well clear of planets. Perhaps this would be a better tactic than sitting and stewing in the lobby?
