Alright, some of you might know me as Phoenix Namra (THE Phoenix Namra  ). I played around a year and a half ago, and DS ran smoothly with no issues whatsoever.
However, soon to be two days ago, I would join a server, and it would go to a black screen where the DarkSpace symbol and the colored loading bar at the bottom would appear. It turns all black instantly, and it says "Unknown error in Client.exe."
I'm not exactly sure what it is, since I've installed, and reinstalled, very numerous amounts of time. I also don't think it is my graphics or harddrive, since it use to run perfectly fine three days ago.

i was once told to delete my data folder, and run update until it updated all my files, you may want to try that

I deleted my DS folder, and it wouldn't even load up the game. -_-

If you have DS install atm try to uninstall from windows control panel Add remove programs and then reboot your PC after install DS again if not work 1 st try 2nd i think it works, but let me know when you try ...

Nvm, problem solved. Had to defrag my comp and reboot.

He meant the Data folder in your DS folder...

did you...
- downloaded and installed the latest client-software (Darkspace-Client 1.481 in the moment) http://www.darkspace.net/downloads.htm?lang=en
- controlled (and, if needed, edited) the config.ini in your DarkSpace-directory
delete the line beginning with metaAdress=
perhaps this will help you
