My Compaq Presario 6000 can't download a Directx 9.0 but it is a Windows XP Home Computer. Since I can't get a directx on it I can't play any sug?

If you've checked your firewalls then I'd say try and get it off a game cd you have. Most games come with directx so that is an option. if not get a lower version maybe.
