Actually there are plans for more new models and model updates...

Once I have the resourcer actually in hand and have had a week or two to play with it to learn its in's and out's then we'll start fielding new models in, and not just for ships either...

I have looked at the current models and am looking for ways to keep the detail while lowering the poly count on the new models which should reduce the workload of the GPU on individual users machines...

I hope the ICC ships might get a new sleek look to their design once the new ships are out....

Btw, if your gonna field new ships in, why not have the newer ones be updated to replace the older versions? But keep the older ones to give an old feel to the game itself, since of course these ships were the first, and are still good, be nice to keep em laying around and having them flying out with the newer ships.

I said "Not a huge update, as we don't have new models." .. I meant that its not a huge update, since we don't have many new models ... though we have a couple models.

Yeah, basically I left out a word - we have only a couple models ready to go, but we'll keep addding more as we finish them, though the pace won't be super fast.

And I was actually fairly sleep deprived at that point.. who'd have guessed?

Yeah, we'll start on weapons loudouts, layouts, and armoring, as well as stats for the weapons - balancing, that is.

We'll likely try to keep that as most of a patch, and do quite a bit of testing on it (though there's always the reality that we just can't get as many beta testers as release players, so "releasing for testing" is a possibility as well)... and then probably release a supplemental patch or two, to fix whatever went wrong in the balance (things always look good on paper, after all). After that, we'll hopefully move on to models, textures, and whatnot.

Though a better infantry image wouldn't be a bad idea...
