This error just started occuring today. I load up Darkspace, and it goes to the lobby, all fine and dandy. Then, i choose a server. While it's loading, the sound starts to screw up. It's just random noises, like static and such. Keeps going on throughout play. Once i go back to the lobby it's fine.

It's probably due to the music or something, as the music does not play while the sound is there. Thanks for any help.

Do you use the Nimo Codec pack?
this pack has been a source of most of the audio problems i had.

See, the problem is though, it JUST suddenly started, for no real reason at all. DS has been working PERFECTLY for the past almost-year. Never screwed up once. Then one day, i just decide to go play, and it starts screwing up. I changed no settings, installed nothing new... strange...

I hope reinstalling it will fix the problem

I'm a new player - just started a demo account - and when I go to try the tutorial I get this same problem. Just weird buzzes, clicks, and generally strange noises.

Same thing happened to me exactly. I gave up on it and just turned off music. Works now...

If you have the Nimo codec pack installed, try uninstalling it before playing. I did, and the sound works fine now.
