Exactly what happened to me. I couldn't go 20 seconds without disconnecting.

dunno if this is by design or not, but im watching my page file useage, runs about 180mb while in lobby, pretty normal, jumpes up to around 700mb while in game

Dual P4 3.1Ghz
Windows XP SP2 (Beta)
1024 DDR Ram.
Game locks up completely at ship selection screen after trying to take out a ship.
Computer continues running but graphics freeze, sometimes clears after random times, sometimes hard-reboot required.
Lags like a mofo, but does clear up in Combat.
Ship Controls respond perfectly when there is a lot of activity, but for times when alone or building etc, Almost an impossibility.

Tried again, using DX9.0b, Had various DX errors, most notable one a DX - Assertion Error, never had one before.
Once again game was extremely slow to take me from Faction Selection to Ship Selection, clicked on Okag which was the Shipyard planet, took 30-40seconds for Avaliable Ships List to update.
Then single clicked on EAD, game froze for around 45seconds and then crashed completely.
NB: Before second attempt i ran Virus Scanners, Adaware, ScanDisk and Defragged my HDD, this only seems to have made the problem worse as i cant even get a ship anymore.
Not sure if that helps any

I just had me a little game of UGTO......
and also had me my first fight around a planet with about 6 fighter bases lvl2 and same amont def. bace. and no lag at all. It was so nice.
As mentioned a bit earlier factorys a bit messy.
No matter what i build everything showed up a P.Torpedos
I got a full stack fo 30torps ... that stack however changed itself after awhile, to a stack or 30 H.Armor...

well.....same as last beta.....downloaded.....installed and now I get
'This application or DLL can not be loaded on Windows 95 or on Windows 3.1. It takes advantage of Unicode features only available on Windows NT.'
and also get
'The MFC42U.DLL file cannot start. Check the file to determine the problem.'
sp....basically.......am unable to test........again.

Lots of LAG at ship spawning.
When i clicked on a missile destroyer, the game locked up for at least 15 seconds.
Everythin else seems good...
P4 2.8Ghz

As reported by others when i first pulled a ship I went to f2 to choose a jump location and the game froze. I Thought it crashed but it cleared after half a min. After that it was good, nice and smooth with no more problems in f2. Had a quick fight around a high def planet and no problems whatsoever.

I only had the screen lock up on me once in normal game play, other than that it was very smooth!!
However, whenever I would first access the F2 (nav) screen I would get lock up for 30~120 seconds. Once I even had to reboot!! Only happened the first time I accessed the F2 screen each time I logged on!!

add cl300/500/1k, gauss guns, sabot, tachy drives, pulse and active shields, reloads, to that list
beacons and pulse beams built fine tho

I could be wrong, but it seems that safe zones no longer exist around jumpgates in scenarios.

Have same problem as Drafull... Seeing if updating IE6 with SP1 and the link will see if work...

Miscellaneous bugs with building structure info...
When there were no cyro metals for def bases, tech:20, 500 metals, and 20 cyrometals were in red, when indeed i have tech20 and 500 metals.
When there isnt enough metals, Power, Metals, and Tech are in red...
LAG!!! Its even worse than 1.481 for me.
-It lags every 3 minutes or whever i do something
-When i say something its delayed for around 20 seconds

Factory Glitch - the starport lists ALL made materials as the first thing on queue. So if you make a gauss first...all subsequent gadgets made will be read as gauss.
