DS runs fine dont make the Subject fool you, im just asking, if there was any plans in the making to make it so it doesnt gulp down all the CPU and GFX on high end pc's and still run the same as if it where on a normal pc. So basicly...are there going to be optimizations in the future? (near future ofc).

I know the Dev team and F are all busy, but im just curios as to what things are to come to darkspace BEYOND the 1.483 patch. Because none of us know whats going to come after that.

Turning on the WaitVB option in setup may drop the CPU usage... try that and let me know if that works.

When using waitVB the CPU still gets very *hot*.

I tried a quick & dirty hack, look what happened to my CPU usage during my visit on the newbie server:
(I was running the debug version, the release version will use less CPU time)

As defualt CPU and GFX get used 100% on my system report.

So i'll try with VB on

wow, holy crap lol.

For me, DS lags a lot more than b4, and takes a LOT longer to load.

its always been like that. Ds is set to use 100% of your system (if im wrong correct me).

I just dont see the point in it. Its using my system to the full right? So why does it not perform like a high end system running at 100%. I mean even half life 2 doesnt use all of it.
