how about a death match maybe once a month that lasts for say 4-8 hoursw in 1 go. Players could group into teams of 5 and in a seperate server blast each other to high heavens. A rough set up would be ppl group into teams of 5, there are no planets to cap or defend. You just get various spawn gates. The rules :the team with the most kills wins. the top teams available as each ship is lost or destroyed and the positions jostle at 5 minute increments for the other teams to see. and regardless of rank the ships available for the Deathmatch will be free to all, say upto dreads(hives and stations would be rubbish in there) then those winners could go into a hall of fame for all to see forever and ever amen. like 10 pts for a ship killed. 10 points lost for a team members death.

I play similar death tournaments in other games and they are a great success with more ppl coming online for the DM's than normal gameplay.

we should all coordinate a day, in which we get everyone who's available to just go into one HUGE battle in the middle of space with no planets or nothin near by.......
