I've downloaded the 1.482 installer, reinstalled, changed my windows firewall settings, made sure my norton firewall settings are correct. still when I try and go to the lobby it says the server may be down, and wont let me in.

any help, guys?

oh yeah, I didnt mention the fact that my pc isnt crashing, but is just saying the server is down.

I installed the .dll files, didnt work, so I reinstalled, still doesnt work.
I feel like a hypochondriac. I also cant spell.

Well, the crash/lockup problem doesn't apply to you... it's either your firewall or your ISP.

Because the auto-update process, changes the exe files, many firewalls will not allow an updated EXE access to the internet. They check the EXE when you add it to the allow list, and if it gets changed, it won't complain, but it wont' allow the new updated executable to work either.

I would just turn that feature off or remove and re-add GCQL.exe/Client.exe to the exception lists. Your call, I personally think it's a very stupid feature as it's done nothing by cause problems and provides very little security benefits.
