I know the timers have been reintroduced for bomb devices , but I was thinking of ways the prevent people being able set set manual waypoints past a planet and bomb those thus bypassing the timer.
I was thinking of perhaps having something similar to an inderdictor field around a planet which switches of that slot type until oyu are far enough away. Obviously this field size would need to vary dependent on the planet size itself to disable the bomb slot within 100gu of the planet surface, and not from the planet center. the downpoints of this would be similar to current interdictor code which I know has previously been shown to tie up system resources with hte constant checks.
Another option would be to completely disable bombing of waypoints. It's much easier to implement this but I think that it does remove a valuable element of gameplay if this route was chosen.

All devices have a timer now, instead of it saying, ok 100 gu then go boom, it now has a count down timer...
I will be spending a few days tweeking the arming times to find a good balance...
Now it wont matter where you target, if the timer hasnt expired then the bomb just goes *poof*.

What is the Time Delay like?
And what is the actual speed of a bomb?
This way I can figure time over distance to come to an idea as to the minimum range I could release the bombs at and not have them go...
