There is a positive side to all the cheap laming flux abusers, they have caused me to rethink resubbing when my time is up, therefore saving me money. They have caused me not to play for the last 24 hours, therefore showing me that I can find other things to do with my spare time than play DS. So it is not that bad; were it not for laming fluxors, I might have wasted all of thoday playing DS!!!! I am looking for a new game to spend the time I used to spend playing DS.

Yes Captain Kanada, I do, and I will overcome any challenge or fail if I lack skills in DS without a whine. I actually haven't whined about anything yet, or asked anybody to stop doing what they do, or said I can't take it. I show by my actions that I try to be fair for sportsmanships sake in all aspects of DS. I like it when people do long posts that at least make some sense and don't involve too much finger pointing, but honestly-relieving frusturation in game is the best medicine. I
f you aren't getting where & what you want in combat, fly a sup or other position for a sortie or two, and give it a go again. Probably the best thing to do until the patch happens. You can also not play, and when the K'luth or whoever get sick of being alone, you can play again. I know it's likely been done and been violated before, but a firing agreement of no flux before a battle might work with the right players involved. I would think regardless of all other issues, the feeling of being farmed for kills/prestige by the enemy frusturates more than anything else, so do what you can to keep it from happening, as hard as it may be.

I have never, and will never use flux - its very essence is just the kind of thing I can't stand in gaming. The end-game weapons that defeat any and all enemies - why not just give me a nuke mine with 100x the power & 10000x the range.
Heh rock - that was just an example Would have taken a few ECCM boats - it was in a nebula & lobsters had ECM going - normally I would have just kept manually targeting, but he fluxed so I just quit.
On a side note - I had an intensely badass duel with a lobster last night. The cloak games were fantastic. And it was a great duel because OMG! I didn't get fluxed! OMG OMG OMG! (yes, thats happened to me in a duel so I'm gonna vent that too!)
Cheers OoO!
Apples, you are the problem here - you & everyone who thinks like you. *shrug* I'll be paying again when 483 comes out.

Actually, flux isnt the uberweapon... well, not if you're used to Nukes and AMMs...
/me remembers the screams from his nuke/amm victims much better than the fluxed ones...

Hehe Coeus, you don't know how annoying Flux is until your own team starts using it on each other in close range fights.
Sheesh, the other night we were fighting UGTO, and a bunch of the ICC (including myself, yes) were carrying Flux. I know better than to use it when there's friendlies close by, but most everyone else appearently didn't.
So I'd engange an UGTO ship, start to get the upper hand on him perhaps... and then the screen flashes white and my weapons are disabled, by my OWN TEAMMATES. Quite irritating.
The whole ICC fleet would jump in to engage the UGTO and have to run away 2 minutes later because we all fluxed each other.
No input on part of the UGTO required - we just beat ourselves. LOL.

Tael apparently the fix for flux it to use it themselves...*shrug* just escalates the problem.
Im just really sadened by the fact that players who should know better than to stoop to those low levels of using it to ruin the game on purpose against players who arnt using it. Just the other day I ran a component check on every ship (using next target whilst selecting a friendly ship) and only ONE of ours had ONE flux wave. However, 5 of your ships had on average 3 or more. Its rediculas. Why people want to ruin the game intentionaly for others is beyond me, and in the end its just going to make people up and leave, leaving the MV empty and un-fun for all.
Congratulations for being idiots (sometimes it pays to think TWICE)

LOL........... Capt. Apollo sounds so much like me when I was a n00b.
I stand by what Enterprise said 100%.
Flux is lame, you push 1 button to kill a person, think about that....
