thats not at all what ur post sounded like, there weewiz, nax makes a great point, u just took away ur own credibility weewiz wwith the words u said that everyone shot u down for, i wasnt in beta but i been here long enough to know that, it dont matter whos a vet, we are all in this community together, and just cause someone has been here longer doesnt mean they are automatically more valuable as a member of this community, the vets are the ones players look up to, and the ones that players dont look up to, maybe u need some more game time

I've only been here a little over a year. I don't consider myself a "Vet" but I don't think I'm a nOOb anymore either. I don't think I am a Great Pilot, but I ain't too bad. I do NOT lead in the MV..........but I can.

Hmm, by my prestige score, I must be a noob...
DS went through two closed beta's, the 2nd started on May 29th, 2001. The previous one ran for about 3 or 4 months before it. The player db was wiped between them.
Anyone with a player ID below 250 was in the 2nd closed beta which in July or August of 2001 went into open beta. Demorian and I joined a week apart in October 2001.
December 2002 we went release.
DS has technically only been around just shy of 4 years. 4 1/2 if you were in the original closed beta (most of those were actually from Europe so its unlikely)

I could be wrong but I think I encountered you in MV (see below). If not my point still is valid. It doesn't matter if your a Vet or a noob its all about attitude.
A guy came into the MV and acted like a know it all jerk, so I called him on it. Just like you are getting called on it here in the forums.
If you respect other players you will get that back, nuff said.

this vet or not vet discussion pretty stupid
what matters is how the players play not how long they have been doing it
as one thats been around for lets say some time 
i can truly say it dont matter with rank/prestige/played time
what matters is if its a team players and how good the player is at doing the game.
i know many that only been short time on DS and allready can lvl up with me or other DS icons.
action speak louder than words.

Ive never concidered myself a Vet...But ive been called one by a few people....I just tell them I do what I can to help..I dont care about being labeled great, the best, or among the finest DS players..Im Here to play the game, anyone who plays along side me is a vet in words..Dont label people on their skills, knowledge, or days they've played... A true vet would laugh if he lost his favorite ship, and say '' Thats how the game goes, everyone dies at a point.'' How many of you So called Vets have ever done that? Ive seen almost all of you loose your favorite ship..and Rant on and on about ''Oh the lag was bad, I was all alone, I was fluxed!'' Vets dont do that..They'd just laugh and go with it, saying that the person that killed them did a good job. I know some people dont agree with what I say, and I just dont care...So to all the Real vets, Helluva job guys, keep it up.
