I was in Getty this summer, stayed at a B n B near the center of town. I walked around Cemetary Hill area and the fields thinking that it was the off season (hardly; just prior to July) since I saw very few people. Being from Oregon the rain didn't bother me but everyone else was inside.
Goosepimples from being there and walking around that history, pretty cool place; hallowed ground. Ow ya got to see fireflies for the first time too  . You locals there are all used to it.
