The Above image just shows basically 4 Cannon Type Slots (ie. Rail Guns for example) and 1 ION cannon!

After Built by an engineer for outer planetary defense, its cannon slots can be modded like a mobile ship! The main weapon is the ICC Ion Cannon Obviously...

The Ion Cannon/4 sub cannons can be operated manually by an engineer or by an engineer setting it to Auto Defense.

I like the idea. But as Backy said, "Ion Cannon" is abit strong for a Planet Base... Maybe subsititute it for a Beam weapon? or maybe even a torpedo?

now, i'm not one to tell someone how to do their job, at least when i know nothing of it, and i'll try to keep my tone form that.


maybe, instead of a massive ion cannn, you remake it into like, a platform with ten railguns? all foreward firing, and the thing would have to point itself at the target (or in the general direction) to engage it?


the Kluth could have one with disruptors, and the UGTO could have one with a squadron of fighters and a bunch of EMP cannons?

I think that each one should go with that faction's main weapon point.

UGTO - Fighter Platform (Oh Jeebus H Crank... just what we need)
ICC - Missile Platform
K'Luth - Cloaked Disruptor Platform

I'm tempted to say scrap the idea just 'cause to make it even UGTO would have to have a fighter platform & thats the LAST thing the servers need... MORE fighters! LOL

I suggested this to Shig once..he wasn't very keen on it.

Mine was different, the thing being a platform the size of a small moon, being able to be built like a planet. Basically, another planet type. The design would be impartial to all the factions, and everything that could be built on a planet could be built there, and it has it's own special abilities. i.e Terran Planets have Food and Habitat as default..

have it require ten Engineer ships to make, and have it take hours to build, and only a grand admiral with every meadal ever can operate it.


and then have it be weak against fighters. and have no jump drives or wormhole generator, so it's completely dependant on other ships for survival.
