This new design is pregnant with possibilities.

My personal opinion:
I like the design of the ship, but there's a problem. It's curvy.
Hello! With the subtle exception of the old-model ICC Dreads (which have a completely different shape than the destroyer/cruiser/dread design that the new carrier is clearly based on anyway), ICC ships aren't curvy!
Flatten it out a little... give it more diagonals and less round-ness... keep the size and design the same; that's all well and good. What needs to change is the shape.

how many of those there are is anyones guess.

Sorry..but...
It looks, like veryone else mentioned, a cross between a fish, egg, and a frigate that rides, the short bus, an obese cruiser, a cruiser pregnant with little iccies, and a guppy. Please, if we are to fly around in these fat little cruisers, at least add another fighter bay. -.-

What the hell happened to that awesome model we had for the ICC carrier cruiser that was the normal hull with these big fat extensions onto the side, and port and starboard docking bays... this thing looks ridiculous

Yeah, I was thinking while looking at it - it kinda looks like some kind of transport or something - maybe an old intersteller airplane ride.
ICC ships are all basically recommissioned civvies & discarded ugly designs, aren't they?
I like it Nice to see a new cruiser design... more or less =)

Something borked with the model and when I went to reexport it it looses half the textures... It would have taken a week to fix them, or a day to make the new ship...
Other considerations in changing it were, one story line. ICC fleet was primarilly comprised of older UGTO ships and converted civilian ships... And the number and scale of the fighters, when compared to the other model i made, the fighters wouldnt all fit into it realisticly.
Another point in favor of the switch was the old models were not very well managed... The ICC cruiser has over 3000 Polys. The addition of the Carrier Pods added another 1500... Thats 4500 more polys your computer has to render for each ship... This new carrier design is only 1088 Polys. Less work for your system to render, thus improving frame rates...

Eww, fugly.
Should make it look like the battlestar galactica, that'd be more ICC like.

An, now we know why the ICC were using other designs.. Though, pulling this design out mid-battle several K'luth and UGTO would die, not from it persay, but from laughing thier asses off and colliding with the planet.
I'm with feral on the name

LOL
Um... if you people say the ICC ships are just old uggies, then how do you expect them to compete in this war? This doesn't make any sense to me. How the hell are old civilian transport ships supposed to be able to fight new, specifically designed ships that are meant for war? This whole idea seems pretty ridiculous to me.

Alien just made a valid argument.. no amount of technology could make a 1960 Double decker bus stand up to a Modern Main battle tank.
"RAM IT!" "His turrets traversing!!" *BOOM* Dead bus
