Hey guys, after playing this game for a little bit I've decided it's a pretty good space sim. I just had a few questions, What is the fastest and best way to earn prestige? I've been messing around a little and I'm not earning it to fast and also how do I build things on our planets ? Besides crashing into the occasional planet I don't think I'm doing to shabby in the other areas of the game lol. Thanks Blitzen

Best things to do at low ranks are:
Supply
Build
Combat
Bombing
Capturing Planets
Jumping around
Combat actualy gives the most prestige, but at your level you wont have any ships to do enough damage to get any real points. So try Supply, it has a prestige multiplier of 2.5 so..its the fastest there  . If you really have to, and dont have access to any supply ships, remove the build on the engineer and replace it with a reload. This will allow you to repair ships .

Supply is a very good way for lower ranked players to get fast prestige...
Don't shy away from trying some combat though, but don't expect to go toe-to-toe with dreads and cruiser when you're flying a Combat dessie or something (unless it's a K'luth dessie - but those take some getting used to, as they are quite fragile despite their firepower)
Gotta get 1,000 ship damage points to get that almighty Assault Cruiser/Torpedo Cruiser, after all! 
Building can also get you a lot of pres, although building a planet is very slow.
