First Role: Command Station - Out of Battle Command Ship. While it has a lot of firepower and a lot of armor, it has almost no capability to escape. May also be used to hang around planets. Typically left by itself as it can hold it's own against the occasional straggler. But left helpless if it was pounced.

Second Role: Command Dread Type 1 - Rear Line Command Ship, Only lightly armed and armored (For a Dreadnought), but fast and manuverable. Designed to be able to get out of trouble should it strike. Can quickly manuver out of a bad situation. Requires Escourt.

Third Role: Command Dread Type 2 - Near-Front Line Command Ship, Heavily armored and moderately armed. Designed to deal with variable threats and targets. However, lacks the manuverability of a Type 1 Command ship. Tends to favor Medium to Long range weapons but will use Short range weapons. It has the speed to get out of a bad situation, however. Can be left alone, but escourt would be preferred.

Second IS the ship, the other two are basicly battle-dreadnoughts

As stated the command ships are slotted for an eventual facelift with a new interface at a later date, as such no further versions of the ship are warrented.

uhh, Backslash, read.

One of them is a Command Station.

One of them is how Command Dreads as you see them should be.

One of them is how Command Dreads as I see them should be.

Instead of everybody arguing over which philosophy Command Dreads should have, I am thinking we should try -both- philosophies and see what people prefer better.
