What are the advantages & disadvantages of each engine? For example, Drow said PFEs are all power & AMEs are all speed... what about AFEs, IEs, and what is the advantage of raising their levels?

Not asking for exact stats, just what purposes I would install each one for, like if I want a fast attack ship, a massive slugger... all around average ship, etc.

PFE's give the most energy, slowest acceleration
AFE's have the most HP, low energy production rate
AME's give the most acceleration, least energy
IE's are all rounders

not really. for just about every ship IEs work fine. if you want speed, load it up with AMEs, theres enough power there, upgrade if you need to
only ships i can see using PFEs are stations and perhaps assault dreads, anyone that needs power more than speed
