okay, enough theatrics. over the past couple weeks, i've been finding myself teaching the newbs on ICC. alot. infact, i think i'm starting to become the unofficial ICC academy. so, i figured i'd just go ahead and keep doing it.
if any newbies on ICC want help playing the game, i'll be happy to show you the ropes and whatnot.
courses include ship Modding, emergency jumps, assigning weapons to hotkeys, capping planets, evasive action, point jumps, energy conservation, and whatever else i can think of.

Well if you are the Senior Drill Instructor...
I guess that means I am the Dean... but yes we are getting a large influx of new players that happen to be young also.... think it is time to open back up the DS Acadamies?
And btw I have been up, way into the wee hours, helping out... I think the Senior Playerbase (+2 years EXP) should help out from time to time, watch over the new players while us trainers get some sleep or, in my case, teach in the real world...

I am volunteering my time as a Intructor... I have also be in contact with Drafell and BackSlash about making an Instructional DVD (or MPEG-4)... about 1 Hour long exlplaining everything a new player needs to know about Darkspace... from installation to setup/options to lobby and its buttons and forums/website issues to all that you can do in the MV...
It would sort of be like a virtual tour.... they would see the DarkSpace screen as if it was really on thier computer... By putting it in the DVD format they could pop it in the TV and follow along at thier leisure as the do it step by step.
The Mpeg-4 format would be available as a alternative to those who may not have access to a DVD player (either they do noe have one OR one is not close to thier computer...) The Mpeg-4 would be available as a download OR for those with small bandwidth (dial-up) it would be available as a CD mailed to the players address.
People nowadays are not the type to enjoy reading about something, but they are more engrossed by the visual. This would not be released without the peermission of Palestar AND would not be done for profit.

LoL Lark.. yeah your good... but just remeber we should only cover basics if we teach in Beta.... since Release and Beta are two totally different animals....
